Ferrari began in 1929 as Scuderia Ferrari, a racing team for Alfa Romeo. Enzo Ferrari later founded his own company, Auto Avio Costruzioni, due to contractual restrictions with Alfa. Despite WWII disruptions, he launched Ferrari as a car manufacturer in 1947 with the 125 Sport. Profits from street cars funded the racing division. After a major staff walkout in 1961, Ferrari recovered with the iconic 250 GTO. In 1969, Fiat bought a 50% stake, gaining influence over road cars while Enzo retained control of racing. Ferrari shifted focus to Formula 1 in the '70s, seeing success and tragedy. Despite Enzo’s death in 1988, the brand thrived, notably with the Ferrari Enzo and F1 dominance by Michael Schumacher. Unicorp Auto Paints offers factory-matched touch up paint to keep your Ferrari in pristine condition.
